Great starter

As a novice I phoned Hoddywell to get advice on which bow would meet my needs and ordered the 30lb Cartel 64 inch triple recurve bow following that advice. The bow arrived promptly and the quality of the components exceeded my expectation. It took about 10 minutes to assemble and string the standard bow which has a riser fitted with threaded inserts to accept a sight, a clicker, a plunger and a stabilizer if you want to add them. This bow can deliver serious power and is capable of driving an arrow right through a six layered cardboard target from 30 meters. The only negative I found was that the double sided tape that attaches the supplied arrow rest started to unstick when exposed to the sun on a 35° C day. I remedied this for now by reinforcing it with a bolt through the plunger threaded insert but I expect a stronger tape or super glue would fix the problem. As I intend to purchase one of the more advanced, bolt on adjustable arrow rests in the future for me this isn’t an issue and as a starter kit I would still rate the bow at five stars. Other retailers would do well to learn from Hoddywell Archery in regard to customer service as I found theirs to be truly exceptional.
